Apptix customers accessing Microsoft Exchange Hosting from Apple client will now pay half

Customers of Apptix accessing their hosted Microsoft Exchange from an Apple client will be paying less than half of what PC users will be paying for similar functionality. This latest pricing from hosting provider Apptix has been unveiled at the same time when Apple came up with its iPad tablet computer device.
Now exchange hosting customers using Microsoft Windows clients will be paying more than those running Apple clients which includes Apple's iPad tablet. This is due to the fact that hosted Microsoft Exchange e-mail provider Apptix offers Exchange 2007 backed hosted e-mail to Apple users for $2.95 per month through Apptix Hosted Exchange for Apple. On the other hand users on Windows clients pay $8 per month for Exchange. Now Apptix is looking to distinguish itself as a hosting provider catering to companies running Apple client devices such as iPad, iPhone and Mac.
The Hosted Exchange from Apptix for Apple's $2.95 comprises of the following:
• Full functionality of Microsoft Exchange 2007
• Full support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard's Apple Mail, iCal, and Address Book applications
• The features of Exchange on Mac devices without the need for additional applications such as Microsoft Entourage
• Web-based access to e-mail, calendar and contacts
• 128-bit SSL encrypted communications
• Premium antivirus and anti-spam protection
• ActiveSync included for e-mail, calendar and contact synchronizing with Apple mobile devices including the iPhone, iPod and iPad
